This is my first engine swap. I found a 2003 RSX - Type S Complete swap for 3500 shipped with 12,000 mi. It looks like a good deal to me since i was going to spend 3600 for a JDM B18C with 50,000. The swap is coming from a auto salvage shop that said:

12 month unlimited miles PARTS and LABOR warranty on most engines is
available-includes a tow and a car rental

All parts are TESTED

Six month warranty on MOST parts

I'm planning on buying it this month once i get the rest of my money for the install cost. I have to talk to them but i was wondering if someone could give me a complete list of parts that i need so that i could fit it in my 98 civic? Has hasport come out with their mount kit for this swap? Also do i need any custom parts?

Also what about the legal aspect? What kind of papers will i get from the salvage yard? Should i do a car faq and check the vin #? Do i have to tell my insurance company? Since i'm getting it from a salvage yard do i have to worry about it being stolen? Please let me know of anyother information that i may need.

How does this one sound? I found these engines by going to this website http://www.uneedapart.com/ and typed what i wanted and then the salvage yards contacted me.
