It's an easy swap and there's tons of info on it. Also there are a lot of ppl on the board with CRX's w/ sohc vtec swaps

Here's all the info you'll need to do the swap:

My brother and I installed a D16Y8 into his CRX Si last summer, converted to OBDI running off a P28 ECU. I was running a JDM B16A in my CRX Si at the same time. It was a fun little engine, he would stick with me until about 6500rpm in 2nd gear, when I'd pull away from him and never look back, but he'd whup my butt off the line. Basically I consider the SOHC VTEC engines a perfect complement to CRXs. They've got good pull, they're reliable, quiet, they respond well to mods, etc etc. I really liked his car I say liked because it got wrecked, and he wanted more power so he now owns a Civic HB with a B16A.

what would something like this swap cost?

with all parts and installation and the cost for parts only. realistic prices, not 'if you find the right places you can get it for like $$$'

thanks
