Hydro trans in a 90 EF, cable or electric speedo conversion Q's
--- i tried searching.
i just bought a 90 EF Si and im going to drop a GSR or LS into it.
going OBD1 with hasports harness
using hasports mounts (will modify the trans mount to fit the Hyrdo trans)
Im going to install the hydro clutch pedal, slave, master and lines
-----The obvious, i know with OBD0 B16 trannies you remove the electric sensor and shaft with the spiral gear on it and repace it with the one from your stock Si trans or whatever have you.(to use the cable driven speedo)
-----the question,,, Can you swap out the electric sensor and replace it with the one that drives the cable for OBD1 or OBD2 hydro trans?
or do you have to wire that stupid electrical crap into your existing stock EF gauge cluster?
--Is that why some swap the GSR gauge cluster into their ED's and EF's?
bottom line, i will not use a OBD0 trans of any sort,,, the suck ***......
thanks to all that help me out.

Re: Hydro trans in a 90 EF, cable or electric speedo conversion Q's (JDM CRX)
You can either swap out the speedo drive or you can do a JDM SiR cluster conversion. To do the GSR or some other cluster would require some major mods to the dash.
