Default Hybrid Radiator Talk

I searched on HT and AF and found out that people use either del sol vtec, fluidyne, or C&R radiators with a swap. But how come people dont just use the stock radiator but wire it up to a switch in the car so that you can turn the fan on and off manually? Or are there cons to doing this?

It not a matter of the fan going on and off.Its a matter of the radiators abillity to remove heat fast enough to supply cool water back to the engine.Plus there's enough to do besides turning the fan on and off.
