Default How to wire up my swap????

In need of expert advise.

I have a 99 jdm itr complete swap. My ride is a 1995 ex. I'm going to reprogram my P28 so I''m not worried about the KS wire. My problem is wiring the motor up. Which harnesses can I use and which is less work. I been told that I can use a 96+ gsr harness which will plug and play with all the clip on the motor, but will it match up with the interior harness on the tower is my question. If I use a 95 del sol harness is the distributor, injectors, and alternator the only things that I have to splice and rewire. The motor will come with its RHD engine wire harness so I can reuse the clips on them. I would love to use a 96+gsr harness so that everything will plug and play especially since I'm using my p28 I think I wouldnt have to rewire anything.

1. 95 del sol DOHC vtec harness
2. 95 ex harness
3. 96+ gsr harness

Well, you have several options. Since the ECU you are using and the Car is OBD1 (shock tower harness), I would personally conver the jdm ITR motor to OBD1 and use the EX harness.

You will need to convert the distributor over to OBD1, you can simply use your EX plugs on the ITR dist and wire it up. You will just need to cut off the OBD2 ITR dist plug and use the EX one instead.

Since you already have all of the OBDII components on the motor, I would get an OBDII GSR harness to simplify the swap and make everything plug in without splicing and plug swapping. It makes for a neater looking and less hassle swap if you want to send the extra $ on the OBDII GSR harness.
But like posion said, you can use your stock EX harness as well since you will have the plugs to salvage from the JDM harness. Either way will work, but using the OBDII GSR is a lot less work.
