how to wire an OBD0 dizzy plug to OBD2
I am just about finished with my B18c swap, I just need to wire up my dizzy. the only problem is I dont remember where I put my directions I had found in search, and now I cant seem to find them.
anyway can anyone tell me what color wires go where on a OBD0 distributor plug to convert it to OBD2 distributor
a few of the colors are the same, but some are not.
thanks for the help

I'm assuming that you're running a non-OBD ECU and stock wiring harness and are using a OBDII distributor. Here's what my research on an EF using a OBDII distributor, but pah-leeze, I'm not an expert. I did NOT need to make this switch myself as I was going to OBDI and used a wiring harness 'converter'. Note also my DX EF was previously converted to MPFI from dual point.
Non-OBD sensor (EF)-> (EF)Non-OBD pin ->(EF) Non-OBD Wire color ->OBDII sensor ->OBDII pin ->OBDII Wire color
CYP G c2 blue/yel CYP M c14 white
CYP P c1 blue/grn CYP P c4 orn
CNK G b12 white(small) CKP M c12 blue/yel
CNK P b10 orn CKP P c2 blue/grn
TDC G c4 wh/blue TDC M c13 wh/blue
TDC P c3 orn/blue TDC P c3 orn/blue
Note also:
(on my OBDII dizzy orange looked more tan and orn/blue looked tan/blue.)
Blue/green is tough to see especially if the non-OBD wiring harness is dirty, you might need a magnifying glass and good light.
non-OBD Blue goes to OBDIIblue (tach)
non-OBD Black/yellow goes to OBDII black/yellow
non-OBD (large) white goes to OBDII yellow/grn
Be careful there are two white wires on an EF chassis wiring harness. One large and one small.

Yep, basically match up like colors on both ends and there'll be 1 wire left on both sides with colors that doesnt match which should be joined.

that doesn't sound like "matching up the wires" at all !!! Only two wires (C4 whit/blue to C13 whit/blue and org to org. ) are the the same !!!
I'm having trouble with my dizzy wiring, so this is just a little more confusing !!
And everyone said "this is the easy part" !!

Re: how to wire an OBD0 dizzy plug to OBD2 (89dxhunchback)
I just tried it, and my car still doesn't start... before it was just throwing the CEL 15, but now its throws like 3 codes ( I didn't bother to read them ). Back to square one.
My obd1 Z6 dizzy has a yel/blue coming out of it and I connected it to the larger white wire coming from the car. this is kinda crazy..

Re: how to wire an OBD0 dizzy plug to OBD2 (89dxhunchback)
if you are running a OBD0 ecu you will have to get a OBD0 dizzy.
if you are running a OBD1 or 2 ecu you can use a ODB1 or 2 dizzy.
the OBD2 dizzy wont work on the OBD0 ecu even if you rewire.
the pulse wheel in the OBD1 and 2 distributors have more teeth and wont pulse at the correct rate. ie. car wont run right if at all and will throw codes.
get a OBD0 distributor if thats the ecu your running.
hope this helped
