How much does a 00 si B16a2 cost?
sorry i am new to this, so i am a newbie to hybrid and swap.
i am planning for a swap into a 92 si hb, and now i found a 00 si B16a2 with 30k, and the guy is asking for $2800 for a complete swap. What is the average price for that anyway?
and what is a complete sway? do i need that?
thanks
and if I do the swap on that car, how do i go about dealing with CA DMV or smog or visual inspection anyway?
and how hard is it doing the swap myself with a few friends?
i know something about the obd1 to obd2 thing, what do i have to do?

BTW, a complete swap is:
Complete engine, tranny, clutch, everything.
ECU
Axles
Engine harness
Throttle cable (sometimes...)
Fuel Hose (sometimes....)
Motor mounts and brackets
Coolant hoses
I'm not sure what mount brackets you will need to drop it in, you'll have to search for that.
Also, I would stay OBD1 (I think that's what you are). If you're OBD 0 then you need to get a harness to convert to OBD1. Also, you'll have to find an OBD1 ecu that runs a B16, or have one chipped. (talk to kenji)
If you want to go OBD2 like your engine, then have kenji make you a harness.
About the cali thing, I'm not sure, I live in washington where things are easier.
