I did it myself but when i was researching i was quoted everything from $500 to $1,500. Inline Pro has a good rep
Hey, there are enough people in the NOVA area who can do it themselves, why not have a swap party? Anyone want to lend a girlfriend? JK.

B16a1 ...had a shop give me a qoute for 500, after they had to do extra work to it,,,engine was locked up...replace head gasket...they bumped it up to 1000.
The engine was from JDMhondaparts.com $1300 plus 300 for shipping.
Seemed to be the engine had been sitting for a while...maybe even in the rain...********!

I did a B18B in to a 94 hatch for $60. I personally felt bad about taking the money. Paying someone anything over $400 for any swap that doesn't require cutting and lots of rewiring is a rip. Do it yourself. Its as easy as changing a tire... about 80 times in a row.

It was a freind. He forced the $60 on me only because I missed 3 days work to do it (long story that involved going to my parents house way back when I was in college).
Really though, I have to give my usual speech. Do the swap yourself and you'll actually have something to be proud of in the end. Paying someone to do your swap is almost like steeling stuff. Sure you have something cool in the end just like everyone else, but you didn't really have to do the hard work to get it, so it doesn't seem like as much. Just my opinion.

What you mean it wasn't hard work to get it. How about some of us that don't know anything about wiring an engine or don't have friends that will do it for free. You're probably not the one doing the swap but you're the one that busted you're *** at work for like 6 months trying to save the money for the swap and the labor. So if I were you I wouldn't say that cause after working that long saving you're hard earned money it feels just as good that you met you're goal!
