Please list your setup for us so we can get a better idea of your situation. Then we can offer an accurate opinion on whether the price you paid is too much or too little.

Re: HOW much did you guys pay for your swap (AllmotorJunkie)
so far, after i buy axles and my clutch/flywheel and header i'll be at $6230 on this swap alone.
and the motors not even in the car yet.
i should also mention, i've bought many bolt ons so they're ready to go in as soon as i get the motor in the car.
it's scarey when i add it up

1000+500 does not equal their swap costs... SO much more is associated with a swap.
4700 for everything seems like a good deal to me, depending on what exactly they did.

Re: HOW much did you guys pay for your swap (JSPECEX)
i do swaps and everything else you can think of. i taught it all to myself. the knowledge is really paying off. it would really pay off if i charged what shops charge...maybe i should....nevermind. i look at it like, any auto shop is going to rip you off if you bring it to them. it's asking for it imo. just bend over when you go to pay next time.

Re: HOW much did you guys pay for your swap (not so civic)
Total swap costs are headaches. Water pump, timing belt, gaskets, plugs, 4 cases of beer, hoses, i/h/e.
But your costs seem a wee bit high.

Re: HOW much did you guys pay for your swap (RangerDan)
$1500 for a '00 B16A2 w/ under 30k miles. Complete swap too; motor, tranny, ecu, linkage, shafts, etc., even the damn radiator hoses! I'd say i got a pretty sweet deal.

Re: HOW much did you guys pay for your swap (JSPECEX)
B17, $267.50 with tax from a local junk yard. He had no idea what it was or what it was worth. He said, "Oh thats just a 4 cylinder with 100,000 miles on it, I'll let you have it for $200."
I got the complete swap, ECU, tranny, axels, ect for the price it stated.

Re: HOW much did you guys pay for your swap (hot_EG)
I paid won-meeylon dollars
Nah, I got the parts cheap and what not, but I paid almost double with the turbo B20 setup w/GSR tranny and I did with the H22 setup (extra cash after switching swaps went towards paint & body work and suspension). Then I still made a couple of thousand AFTER selling my car smogged w/H22 and another new paint job

Re: HOW much did you guys pay for your swap (Jeff C)
$1600 JDM B16 Swap shipped, minus ecu/axles/linkage/mounts
$200 ECU
$120 New Axles
$100 linkage
$300 mounts (ouch)
$100 Used DC 4-1
$175 New AEM CAI
$30 New B-series Fuel line
$50 New upper and lower Rad. Hoses from Honda
Total (if math is correct)= $2675 in the car
Getting a deal on a motor and getting the rest piece by piece sucks. Tracking parts down and waiting for stuff to come is not worth it, but in the end it worked out
