how much for a converted civic to Type R
I love the look of this car. How much would I expect to pay for a civic 6th gen that have a total Type R conversion (motor, drivetrain, interior, hubs, wheels, and brakes?
I would even do with out the interior!
Since selling my boosted 5thgen hatch I was leaning toward factory turbo charged, I just can't get away from the honda bug though, and imo there is nothing nicer than a clean civic type R conversion!
Is it eevn possible to buy somme thing like this? Woudl some one sell their project after putting so much time in?

Yes you would be surprised how many people sell their project after they are done because they are bored.

11g - 13g would be my guess. If you can find a cheap a$$ EK then that'll be great.
But you'd spend 4-5 on the decent Shell w/ stock motor of course.
$4,500 for Type-r motor. That's already let's say $8,500.
CF hood $400
Lips all around would be $200 - $300
It looks like it has a 5 lug conversion, thats about $1,300.
Paint would be $1,200.
Suspension work would be around $600.
Looks like a 2000 front end conversion. That's about $200.
I might be missing some more stuff but don't quote me on everything.
Best thing to do is go on Ebay.

I would buy what ever is on the go when I'm looking, I woulden't turn down a ctr conversion either................but the C5 would be my engine of choice.

Re: (Hybrid)
If you want a CTR then you do all JDM OEM CTR parts only!! otherwise, its not a CTR, and even at that your never going to get a CTR unless you buy the real thing. That pic that you have.. the car is nice, but its nothing like the type r as for looks. Your leaning more towards JDM tuner style.

Yes there are many "take over my project" cars floating around that you could choose from.

Re: how much for a converted civic to Type R (VTECVillain)
Yeah I suppose your right about the CTR thing. After having a boosed 5th gen I just want a clean 6th gen similar to the 6th gen spoon yellow civic (have a pic in a mag but can't find one online). And of course JDM all the way.
When that trend dies down in the states I may sneak up from canada and pick one up for cheap................hehe
Maybe you'll see me late next summer........................................of course I would ask a favor and get some one to check it out for me before I spent the time and money to fly up.

hey Denis!,
how about a built h22a (TSX white ek9) haahhaah....
only thing missing is the factory fogs, everything else is there.
I have Bomex Rear wing (bit longer than CTR)
