How to kill $1K on Ek H22?
Now I know we have all seen Newman with his mid 11 sec. H22 hatch that was for the most part stock. I still have my motor all stock and have been going back and forth about wether to build turbo, or go N/a. I though with a little over a thousand I could have nitrous (preferably direct port), some sticky tires, and the hotshot header. What do you guys think would work for a some-what cheap way to go faster??

I'd say remove balance shaft belt, throw some direct port nitrous on there, hotshot header and some 22x8x13 M/T slicks

Slicks, big header (running open), big shot of NOS, good suspension setup (or using steel cable straps to compress the rear springs... ghetto but effective), and plenty of practice and tuning, it's possible it hit 12s all day long. But I was running a big shot of NOS (100 shot... only 6 passes... 4 in one day) and my clutch was "dead" and hot afterwards.... had to let it sit for an hour or so before I could drive home, but this should give you some idea of what's needed. Main thing... practice, practice, practice on launching - that's the key!

12.5:1 pistons, Hondata, open headers.
want to run slicks? better have good axles, not cheapo b18a. my cv boots ripped after a week of driving (my old h22 coupe).
