How do you swap a sohc into a integra
Well i have a 95 ls, the start is going bad and the 3rd gear is gone. I might be buying a eg. What i want to do is swap the sohc in my teg. I already have a build motor that is going to the eg so don't worry. And i am planning on taking my shift linkage, axles, and motor mounts, from the ls and using them on the eg. I am using the eg as a shell for now. But what do i need to swap the sohc into my teg. Which mounts (from which car) do i use. And thing i need to buy.

IT should just drop right in...I hope you don't plan to sell that teg..because if you did and you didn't disclose the "downgrade" swap to the next buyer, you can be fined/jailed for fraud. Hope you knew that.

It's basically just the reverse of putting a B series into an EG. Just use EG mounts if the D series is from another generation, hydro D series tranny, D series axles and linkage, etc. Definitely not a good swap idea but it would work if you needed to do it.

Of course D-series. For a B-series swap in an EG/DC chassis, you'd use a B-series.

i doubt some middle aged women would buy the car then go to check her oil one day and freak out "O my, there is a d series in here! where's my b!?!"

Re: How do you swap a sohc into a integra (CivicVX94)
i was almost tempted to sell my itr swap and with that money build a badass turbo d series with money to spare lol
it would have more tq then a boosted b series and can make 400whp reliably so what could possibly be bad about it except for maybe the transmission/gearing
