how do you bypass the imoblizer in the type r ecu?
i have just purchase the swap but the guy failed to tell me that the ecu would not work so does anyone know how to help me so i can use it ?

Katman can disable the immobilizer...but you will have a CEL all the time.
I have a JDM P73(ITR) for sale...it doesn't have an immobilizer, and you don't need the 2nd o2, or CKP sensor.
The ecu is for 96-98 models though so you would need an adaptor harness for it to work in your car...

The JDM P73 I have uses OBD2a plugs. You would need a OBD2a(96-98) to obd2b(99-00) adaptor.
I'd prolly sell the p73 for $150 plus shipping.

the imobilizer is in most all of the newer model cars. i have a 2000/2001 integra LS that was a theft recovery. i beleive once the ignitions is torn apart the car cant be started cuz the ECU basically goes dead.
