HOW AM I GOING TO PASS inspection!!!!????!?!?!
I have a 98 integra with an obd1 jdm h22a. How am i ever going to pass inspection??? My car is supposed to be obd2, but its not. Any suggestions will be of great help, thanks guys. By the way im in NY, and now they hook up our cars to a computer, and the computer prints out the inspection sticker.

hmmm. I think you're going to need to make friends with someone at an inspection station. You're not supposed to put in a motor that is older than the car, not to mention the OBD issues. Nothing's impossible, but I doubt there is a legal way to pass.
the guy who did my inspection was willing to work with me. he was like "you're supposed to have another motor mount" (I have HAsport EGH1 mounts) So I bolted this little puny piece of metal that just happened to bolt to the block and the frame. He said "good enough" and passed me. I removed the fake "mount" as soon as he passed me and drove off.
the point is, you might have to improvise. there is always a way. I know a guy who offered to pass my car sight unseen for $200 or so. Sounds shady as hell, I know. But what are you gonna do? buy an OBDI integ and to it all over again?
I have to ask: why didn't you get inspected before the swap?

Re: HOW AM I GOING TO PASS inspection!!!!????!?!?! (dreamer)
The inspection isn't up until October, but i don't know what i'm going to do when it comes around...everyone said it is IMPOSSIBLE to get a sticker without your car actually passing inspection...I thought about converting my car to obd2 but it would be a huge pain in the ***. Maybe selling my car is the only option? I just got it though!!! ahh this sucks

if he adds the sensors and has the right ecu, will the really be able to tell its older than the car?

no, if he converts (everything) to OBDII he should be fine. he's gonna have to lie about the motor being older than the car if they ask though, no way around that...

yeah, that would be a monster pita, but if he want's i'll sell him an jdm obd2 p13 for $50+ shipping. that or suggest alternative means of testing like you said. that or move to another state.

OBD2 was implimented to standardize all manufacturers to 1 communication and information protocol. its a very long list of things that im sure as hell not going to go into. just know OBD1 and 2 are not anything close to each other.

Re: HOW AM I GOING TO PASS inspection!!!!????!?!?! (dragline)
i have the ecu already, there are just sooo many things that need to be changed over on the car. It hardly seems worth it to me. Let me know of any tricks u guys have that make the ecu think all the sensors are fully functional.

What do you think has to be wired?
All I can think of is the ckf sensor and maybe a o2 sensor.
Depends on what ecu your running now.

hahaha adding a CKF requires changing the oil pump to a OBD2 H22 pump because the CKF is inside it. adding a second o2 sensor is the least of your problems. you also need to swap out: distributor, injectors and the alternator to a OBD2 counterpart. just to name few
but **** just wire it all in you will be fine!
its not that hard right? you said it yourself, and it sounds like you have done it before.
also, do you have a USDM or JDM OBD2 ecu? because the JDM OBD2 isnt like the US OBD2 ecu.

you don't need to do all that to pass inspection... OBDI distributor and alternator will work with OBDII ecu, you just have to splice in the OBDI clips into the OBDII harness. technically, you don't have to swap the injectors, but it won't run very well if you don't.

oops you are right, you can just rewire those. my apologies
i wouldnt leave the obd1 injectors in tho.... that could cause some issues
