horsepower TV gsr swap on this weekend
Did anyone watch this show? It was some good info. They make some things look really easy, like wiring, but all in all, it was a good show. Anyone who is going to do this swap should watch this show. ANd they showed how to install other cams. They dyno the car at the end of the show, and the gsr motor had 171 HP. Nice numbers from I/H/E and a pair of zex cams.

It's a re-run... been aired before a few months back. I like when they pulled away the tranny and it's all nice and rust-colored under there . They said the jist of it, but failed to mention some small tips here and there that need to be done when swapping in the motor.

re-run by far! I saw that about 3 times already lol. They make the whole thing sound easy as hell and smooth. Wish it was like that!
Too bad they have some clean *** old muscle in the background, then you have a riced out coupe with 18's and a huge *** spoiler. argh.

Re: (poison)
they forgot to tell the viewers to wire up the vtec wires. they only mention IAB & knock sensor. still quite entertaining and by far better then showing us how to install altezzas

the funny thing is I remember last year I actually went on their website to tell them to stop wasting their time with that dx engine with bolt ons and give us a engine swap or cam swap. I guess they probably did listen to us viewers after all.

Re: (7PSI CRX)
yeah, they made every thing sound way too easy. I wish I had all that money. Who here has any money left over for zex cams and a new header right after you bought a gsr motor. All I know it that it took me a while to get the $3500 for my gsr motor, and now i finally have enough dough for a ITR tranny. And then maybe ill get some new cams. But they drop the motor in and buff it up right away. I wish that was me. And then after that Im gonna get a new intake, casue my ecu doesn't work my IAB's. Unless someone wants to trade me their gsr ecu with my gsr ecu, (someone who doesn't have a gsr intake that is) But my ecu is chipped, but doesn't send a ground for my IAB's oh well.
I guess if I only had like 20 minutes to show how to swap a motor and swap cams, thats all I would say too- "use the manual"
