hooking up vss to a crx
I got my swap pkg for my crx and my tranny has vss. i just found out what was vss and I what to know how to get info on how to hook it up. I have a pr3 ecu that came with the engine. I heard i could just pull my vss out and stick my cable speedo in their. will this work and what about the pinout for the vss do i just cut the wire? thanks for your input

Depending on your VSS, I'm assuming you got a mechanical one, where the speedo cable plugs into it, and not the electronic one with a plug on it (found on Y1 transmissions). There is no wiring needed for the mechanical VSS. All you need to do is get the "V" clip from Honda that holds the speedo cable in place inside the VSS, and the other end of the speedo cable plugged into the back of your gauge cluster (which is already should be unless you removed it)... that's it.

Correct.
Take the pinion gear out of your USDM tranny and put it in the JDM tranny. Plug the cable back in the pinion gear and when the tranny turns, the pinion gear turns and drives the cable that is attached to your USDM speedo (VSS is located in there).
