Hood to clear B18C in '91 CRX.
I tried a search, but came up empty. I need help! Anyone know of a reasonably priced hood that will clear a B18C in my '91 CRX. I used the Hasport billet mounts and the hood rubs the engine, even with the skeleton hacked out. I won't be showing the car, but I want something that looks decent. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.
Thanks.

I am not sure about aftermarket hoods, but you can do this an a temporary replacement. When I had my B18C1 I had to add washers to the hood as well as cutting into a portion of the underhood skeleton. Then, my hood was not rubbing the valve cover.

I used HCP mounts on my swap, and I don't rub at all.
You could get the fiber images Si-r style hood the look real good and you'll have no problems with rubbing.

Rex,
Hey, I considered using a ZC hood too. Will the speed bump in the hood make enough clearance. I don't thik so, as the oil cap on my engine was rubbing on the hood skeleton (hacked some more out). Other than the speed bump on the driver side of the hood, is it any different than stock? The carbon fiber hood that I am most impressed with is the one that aviation company (anybody know the name?) is marketing. It is purty, appears to be of excellent quality, and looks like it will clear my engine. However, like the Fiber Images, is out of my price range. What would help is several people within reasonable driving distance of my home/garage in west Michigan jumping on board to split the cost of shipping several hoods to our area and getting a volume discount! Any takers?
Peace.
