HOME MADE 5 LUG CONVERSION ANYONE? IDEAS??
I know it sounds ghetto as hell but im thinking about doing a home made 5 lug conversion, the reason is I dont want the stock ITR wheels I picked up some 5lug Advan RG's for cheap but I need to have the 5 lug conversion to even put them on, I need to make the fawkers fit........most people really wont be able to tell unless they look really hard. im thinking about taking the hubs to a machine shop and having lugnut studs pressed into the hub im wondering if they will even fit or the space will be so big that at least one of the lugnuts will be off or something any ideas??

Dude, making something like that can be so dangerous! I know I am not GOD or your father, but damn guy....Thats risky. I have not tried it yet, but I have been thinking about using CRV suspension parts on a Civic or Teg. It may sound crazy, but it may work as well. I am almost positive the wheel studs will be the same as most Honda 5 lugs. Like I said I have not actaully tried any parts, but you may try to give it a shot.

I have actually heard of people using the hubs from the crv.... cause all that is, is a big civic chassis...for the most part.. That was called poor mans 5 lug... Im not sure how it works but im pretty sure how it can be done... haha i just bought the itr 5 lug for simplicity... good luck with it all

It will definitely work. CR-V stuff is pretty much bolt-on for Civics. Honda Tuning mag has just finished up putting a AWD TypeR setup in a DC2, and it came out incredible. the hubs were completely bolt-on, but i'm not 100% sure about weather the standard axles worked in the CRV hubs, or if they used the CRV axles. and yes, your beloved Advan RGs will work perfectly with the CRV hubs. asshat. I'm jealous, and I'm gonna pout in my corner right now. I'd trade my Volk GT-7s any day for Advan RGs in 4x114.3.
