hmotorsonline.....anyone used them?
If so, how was your experience? They seem to have some good deals. Are they all they seem to be? Thanks for any input.

Yes they are very reliable, they hooked me up with a very clean b18c with a b16 tranny with a kaaz lsd at no additional charged for the standard 300 dollar charge for the lsd. I highly recommend them.

Alot of people use HMO and are happy. Steve screwed me over. His shipping company dropped and destroyed my motor and he didn't give my money back for almost 3 months. Steve is a liar, don't believe anything he says. He still owes me almost $100. IAS is more expensive but include more in the swap. I bought my second motor from them.

the engine i got from HMO burns a lot of oil...
like a quart a week.
and they never gave me anything showing that i purchased the engine. even after i called back a 3 different times, they said they 'thought' they sent it out, but it has never came.
shipping was fairly quick, though.
if you talk to steve, tell him i said thanks...

Call and talk to Steve, he's a good guy. Hooked me up with an SIR II airbox free, and waived the residential delivery fee. hmotorsonline get from me

Yeah, he has come through twice for me with no issues. Very fast delivery and now he is going with a new freight that is way cheaper then before.

So if you get a motor that is 'bad', are you just stuck with it or will they replace it? Sounds like playing russian roulet to me. Do you just cross you fingers and hope you get a good one or what? Thanks for the info so far!

for $3500, i expect a used engine that doesn't burn oil.
now i'll have to pay another $1000 - $1500 to have it rebuilt.
you make it sound like it's not a big deal because you got a 'good' motor.

I agree for $3500 you better get a used engine that doesn't burn oil. that's alot of money to blow off on a engine that burns oil.

I got my b16a from steve at HMO and it came with everything promised. Steve even replaced a bad distributor that came with the motor free of charge
I would definitely recommend them

Re: hmotorsonline.....anyone used them? (96hb)
My ITR motor/trans/ecu came in last week. I was dissapointed to find out that it didn't come with the lower part of the exhaust manifold (which made the upper part useless) and no o2 sensor. The valve cover was stained and scratched up, too. The rest of the motor was cleaned well. I was told '97 and got a '96. I'm confident it has more than the "17,000 miles". None of that will bother me however as long as it runs well. I'd be very disappointed if it didn't run like new for $4200!! It is a used motor, but they should give you the compression and leak down tests with the purchase, otherwise why do they even test them? Do they really hold back the less than perfect motors? I don't know, maybe they do!

Re: hmotorsonline.....anyone used them? (Eyewitness)
I had one helluva headache when dealing with them. He gave me a reprogrammed computer and it idled like a nightmare. It was a 5-speed reprogrammed from an automatic. So something in it fried itself out and i was changing this and that and steve was like im not sending anything i dont know what the shop has done to your car.
Got another computer from steve and it idled fine but the motor looked like crap It pulls hard though go no compaints here. Except for the damn headachs I had to go through just for it to run. then there was the freight fee for $65 dollas for all that money spend at least send one out to properly drop the motor out the car i didnt recieve no harness,no distributor,no alternator,no good computer im never ordering anything from him again.+

The ecu was marked from HMO as '96 and I posted less than a week ago in this forum about finding the actual motor date, and that was the info I got. Apparently I got incorrect info (i actually appreciate you pointing that out so I know). Another thing is that I'm not dissing anything, I'm simply stating my experience. Like I said, as long as it runs well in the end, I'm happy with my purchase and with HMO.
