HELP! swap wiring troubles. HELP!
We're in the middle of dropping in a 96 JDM B18C (OBD2) w/LSD purchased from HMotorsonline into a 93 Del Sol S(ODB1) and it came with all the wiring converters but we've noticed the all the wiring on the engine is backwards.
Guessing this is because it's JDM.
How are you supposed to hook these up?
Thanks,
Jon

Re: HELP! swap wiring troubles. HELP!
As an example, The the battery and fuse box are on the passenger side.
The stock 1.5l engine we pulled has those wires on the left side over the transmission side.
The JDM engine has those wires on the right side over the timing side.
So we should just extend those across the engine bay back to the left side?
And same thing with all those other harnesses?

Yes, and add the wiring for vtec and knock. Reuse your old engines injectors (theyre both 240cc) and swap alternator plugs over. You can swap the wiring from the distributor over to the type r distributor. Rest will be plug and play.

Re: HELP! swap wiring troubles. HELP!
I tried to use my OBD1 harness which almost fit but not enough.
So my car's wiring harness is OBD1, the engine is ODB2 and the ECU is a JDM OBD2.
Which engine harness do I need to use? USDM GSR engine harness and what other things do I need to do? I've read knock and 2nd o2 don't need to be connected.
Does every swap require a modified harness?
Thanks
