hey guys, guess what i just got my B20 block yesterday, complete shortblock all i need is to get the bish sleeved!! but guess what i expected to see a PHAT B20B stamp and to my surprise there was nothing ..yes thats right nothing. check it out.




anyways after making a few phone calls, cuz i didnt think it was legit even doh the seller said it was. the block was originally bought direct from honda thats why it didnt have any stamping. so i will make the best of it .. here's my ideas..

I would recommend you call and ask them if replacement blocks have ID numbers. On a good note, I can tell its a b20 because of the sleeves.

Bust out the engraver and carve "B16A" into it... Most people can still tell just from the face of the motor that it's a non VTEC block but oh well...

If you buy a block directly from honda they usually have a large rectangle, under the stamp that says DOT1, but it should still have block code and a serial number.
Another thing is, I think the new Dart blocks, come W/O engine codes? either way the block looks good!

Um, you're just not getting the point here. They're saying get the B16A stamped on that block even though it's a CRV block that has a higher displacement. And people would wonder why this "b16a" is sooooo fassttttt

i get that.. thats why everyone tells me D15 now thats funny!!
but even a b16 block can be sleeved and made out to 84mm so its like saying its not so unbeliebable to see a b16 do that ..cuz it can be done .. think i mixed myself up ;P

Yea but you could sleeve a B16 up to 84mm but it still has it's shitty 77mm stroke as apose to your LS/CRV 89mm (that's your torque).. Even an 84mm bore is B16 is only about a 1.7L motor as apose to your 2.0L. For most people like i said before, if they don't know what the casting on the front of a non VTEC block looks like they'll just read the B16 badge where they would figure that you just have a B16... D15 is funny but "most" people know that it's not VERY possible to do and wouldn't believe it.. The B16A stamp still gets my vote.. hehe

I would stamp it D15 or something low end like that. Make them THINK you have less, and then BAM!
