HELP! I give up. How do you get the new Vtec wires to go into the CPU connector?
Hey:
I am putting a B18C1 into my95 CX. I am almost done, except I can't get figure out how to get the new wires to physically go into the plastic ECM harness. The wire just kind of hangs in there and doesn't inspire confidence that it will stay connected. Do they sell spring clips for this someplace?
I did a couple of searches and apparently I am the only one who has this problem?!! None of the 'swap directions' on the web go into any detail about this.
Thanks for any help
Steve

Try using a wire splice clip. You can pick them up at any hardware or radio shack. Good Luck...

just splice the wire about an inch and a half long. then separate about 7-8rands of the wire, and cut the rest. twist the remaining strands of wire together, and pupoo poo through the hole of the plug you want and pull all the way through. after that, pull it back against the plug, and plug it in. it will make contact with the oin inside the ecu. thats hos i added my vtec wires and knock sensor wires for my h22 swap. i know is ghetto, but it works.

Hey:
My dealer claims that they don't have these things.
Do you have part numbers, or anything I could ask for specifically?
Thanks
Steve

You can get the pins from any junk yard. to remove them from the plug, flip back the cover next to the wires on the back of the plug and use a safety pin to depress the little tab that holds the pin in the plug. It's really simple once you get the hang of it.
