when i am just riding along at 1/4 or 1/8 throttle sometimes it misses pretty bad. doesnt always do it. may go 10 or 15 miles and it wont do it. checked the codes= none found. tried new plugs. i have a spare h22 that i know everything is good(i pulled it). i swapped wires, cap, rotor button, and then distributor. nothing helped. for some reason i unplugged the tps and it quit. not one miss in about 40 or so miles. of course the cel came on. so today when i got off work i dug out another tps sensor and put it on. set my voltage to idle .5 volts and wot at 4.53 volts. reset the ecu and cranked it up. seemed fine. drove 10 miles to the store to get gas. started missing on the way home. if i floor it, the miss goes completely away and it runs like always. i dont know what else to try. help my set up is

How old is your fuel filter?

about 7k on the filter. whats weird is it runs fine with the tps sensor unplugged or when you get on it.

sounds like your o2 sensor might be shot and its retarding you timing.

Is it missing or stuttering. Its a big difference trust me. And if so then it should be breaking up from about 2k to 4k if so let me know..

jason, i would call it missing, but it may be sputtering. power is severely cut down. but if you press the gas any harder it will clear up and run fine. if it does it at idle it will be idling around 500. i dont understand how it runs good without the tps even hooked up. hook it back up and the missing returns. like i said doesnt do it all the time, but within 5 miles it will probably do it 3 or 4 times. sometimes more, sometimes less. sometimes none at all.

Well the one thing I would recommend if you havent done so already is to change your fuel pump.. In the two seperate cars I had a swap in the car would sputter at part throttle small load because the stock pump couldnt keep adequate flow..

Get a walbro 255gph. Fairly cheap upgrade and will make the world of a difference..

already got a walbro 255lph hp. also have aeromotive fpr. problem started before i got it though

Your running high grade gas, correct? (91-93)

What did the plugs look (old) when you pulled them?

92-93 premium only. plugs looked pretty good. i will look at the grounds.
