i have a 2000 civic with a b18c1 tried both 99 civic si and a p72 ecu. used the engine harness out of a 99 si and only have cel with the si ecu the p72 has no cel. everything seems fine have good idel runs well until i start to push it. when i hit high rev and **** over 5500 the engine leans out and stays lean until you let off the gas then it recovers and is fine until you go to shift or it you are in high rev let off the gas and hit hard it does the same please help have tried many things but don't know what to do anymore

sounds like a problem with vtec, maybe bad selonoid, pressure switch

check all of your wires, maybe one was fraid and shorted or any ecu codes?

replaced pressure switch already and have no cel with p72 ecu
also checked the wires used brand new 99 civic si engine harrness
