Default Help B18 swap into 89 crx si

Ok, i'm trading my turbo'd zc crx for another 89 si with no rust or was ever wrecked and 3,000.. So that means im dropping in a b18 non-vtec and and a nice size turbo. I am new to the whole b series swaps and was wondering if i can use a motor from a 90-93 teg or if i have to buy one that was imported from japan(did a search by the way) I know i will need mounts, axles and a shift linkage.. Anything else i'm missing?? Also do you guys think i'll be happy with it compared to a turbo zc..??Just want to make sure i have everything, So the cars not sitting for months !!
Thanks

Wiring plugs right in. You can use any 90-91 teg B18a, easier than an obd1 motor. But the only downside is more mileage on an older motor. Id pick the turbo b18 over the turbo zc anyday. HTH

You could use a 90-93 B18A1 or even a 94-01 B18B1 and USDM/JDM doesn't matter. Using the B18B1 isn't anymore difficult other than the fact that you would want to use OBD0 (90-91 Integra) distributor, injectors and ECU to keep it simple. You would also need a cable B series tranny. A lot of people get the 90-91 LS because you can pick them up as a full swap but remember the age and normal condition these are in. If you aren't going to rebuild from the start then don't expect it will have tons of life, especically with boost.
I have a 91 CRX DX with a 96 B18B1 which the motor had only 3,747 miles when I bought it. I'm using a 91 Integra PR4 ECU and distributor and 90 CRX Si injectors and resistor box. I was fortunate enough to come across a 92 YS1 GSR cable tranny which I like much better than the LS because of the shorter gears. I went with the HASport billet mount kit, HASport shift linkage and 93 LS intermediate shaft and axels.

Thanks alot guys, I know the swap isn't hard i was just unsure what b18 to use. I'm gonna rebuild it and use eagle rods and wiseco pistons with a mild p&p head and head studs and hope that hold 15 psi... Guess we'll see Thanks again

You will need different motor mounts, they sell them on hasport.com
