Hey i'm going to get a B16 in the very near future. I
was thinking of getting a engine from a mail order
place and then have it installed in a shop near my
house. But when i told the shop that, they said that I
need to also bring them some hubs, and spindles from
an integra or the 99Si. Is this needed to swap the SIR1
into a 89CRX dx? They said that i need to get those or
it won't work. But then i called the engine place and
they said that the engine should work just like its
sent. Any info would really be apprecited.
Also Jotech quoted me almost 5,000 for the complete
swap including the a/c bracket, a DC 4-2-1 header, and
a AEM Short Ram intake, plus labor and everthing
included. Is this what i should expect to get this
engine in my CRX?? Just sounds kinda high to me??

Jotech's price sounds right and, yes, you also have to change your hubs and knuckles to an integra 90-93 or Civic Si(88-91 or 99up si). Dx hubs will not accept B series axles.

Oh yeah- if you decide on integra hubs and knuckles make sure you get the brakes too.
