Default HELP! B16 89 CRX Engine trouble

One second my car was idling really nice and then it slowly died on me. Now when I crank it it barely turns over and if I put my foot on the floor it will hardly rev up. The car shakes and it sounds really bad and if I keep it running with my foot on the gas it starts to misfire out the intake. I kept the car running just to look at the code and I believe it was 54. Any help?

54 is your crank fluctuation sensor. Check to see if its hooked up or see if its bad. I don't know if it will trigger a cel if its not hooked up but give it a try.

My car was running fine and then the B+ cable to the starter solenoid grounded out on the starter motor and there were some sparks. I checked my fuses and they are all good. I just bought a spark tester and fuel pressure gauge, so tomorrow I will begin diagnosing what may be wrong. Ugh, I'm just so tired of fixing something and having another thing break RIGHT AWAY.

Performed a spark test and saw that I had no spark on a couple of cylinders but good ones on the other two. So I took apart the distributor and found out that I could easily pull off the rotor! Apparently I didn't put loctite on the screw to hold the rotor in place and it just backed off. However, while the cap was off I saw that a screw was missing to hold a piece of wiring down, which looked like a ground point. Now I have to find a really small *** screw to put in there or I'm going to have to get a new distributor.
