Default help! 00 civ Ex w/ JDM b18c swap

I need help cannot get started it just turns over and backfires.... Check plugs got fuel and checked firing order its good too...

Im using p73 ecu ... i used stock ex harness and cut off stock dizzy plug and swapped for integra distributor plug... i color matched each wire and had 1 blue wire left. im at my end with this someone please help

Well, my PERSONAL experience... when I was doing my h22 swap, I had someone crank the car while I was outside adjusting the distributor timing. After a while it started nicely. Maybe the engine is flooded with fuel and stuff also. Someone correct me if any info is wrong. this was just what I DID

Backfiring is usually a timing issue.

The distributor plug sounds suspicious. You should definitely confirm the wires. Look at a wiring diagram for both cars and you should be able to figure out if the wiring is accurate. Matching the colors may not be that simple.

Next, put a timing light on it and confirm correct base timing. You may be a tooth off if you pulled the distributor. As mentioned before, make sure you are getting consistent spark.
