header on my crvtec?
this is the setup
98 crv with b16 head
cold air and 00 si ecu with vafc and exhaust
i have the stock exhaust manifold on it.
i have a chance to get a dc 4-2-1 or a 4-1 header.
i know that the 4-2-1 makes better midrange power.
but will i realy need the 4-1.
i guess what i am asking is wich header to get? the 4-1 or the 4-2-1?

Re: header on my crvtec? (Civichatch2k)
is the car mostly street w/ little track?
its up to you w/ the header though, do want mid-range power or high-end power. personally i'd go w/ the 4-1.

I would go with the 4-1 but the ground clearance on the DC sucks
I used the JDM ITR 4-1 and am lower them some of my friends with the DC and mine look brand new while theres looks

yea, plus clearance not even an issue if you don't drop it too low, are careful of speedbumps, and get the one for the right app....

Dc sports = cheap stuff...stick with the jdm itr header. Me and my buds have gotten far better results from them esp due to the 2.5 collector. Plan out you exhuast system, dont just peice it together. The more it works as a "team" the better off you'll be. Even some jg/edelbrock headers wouldnt be bad for your setup but they would be a little pricey. My recomendations.
1) Jdm itr header
2) Carsound Cat w/ 2.5 flanges
3) Decent 2.5 exhuast minus the fart can on the end.
PLanning always = the most power and best gains...and never forget that loevly thing called tuning!

Re: header on my crvtec? (MIDNIGHT)
i dont think i have a problem with ground clearance. it is my crv after all.
i say get a 4-2-1 header, it will be more usable for street duties...
