Default Head milling questions..

Hey:

I have to mill some shipping damage out of my GSR head. How much can I get away with? Anybody know how much it retards the cam timing to do this?

Machine shop says it will take 20 to thirty thousandths to get the damage out.

Thanks

Steve

0.020" milling will retard your cams 0.57 degrees. It's directly proportional to how much you take off, so 0.030" would be 0.86 degrees.
