Hayabusa motor
Anybody ever heard of putting a hayabusa motor in a civic? Do you guys have any thoughts on the idea? If you built the motor and turboed it, seeing a civic pull to 14K would be sweet.

I dont think a 1300cc motor will make alot of torque.</TD></TR></TABLE>
Well that certainly wont be a disadvantage next to any honda motor

Re: Hayabusa motor (HXMan)
My B7 has like 90 lb ft stock, the hayabusa definitely has more than that. Tell me 14000 RPM's wouldnt be sweet.

Remember that torque is highly tied in with displacement. As such, a 1300cc motor is going to have significantly less than a 1600cc motor. And this says nothing of the problems you are going to have bolting the thing into a Civic in the first place. The 175 (or so) HP may seem sexy. But a JDM B18C5 has quite a bit more (200HP). It also has more torque and bolts in fairly easily either directly (1992+) or with a mount kit (1988-1991).

Dude NO!
the only thing I would ever put a Motor like that into a honda would be a insight since they weigh nothing, But seriously why would you want something that it's just not right at all
Let the flaming begin.....LOL

okay guy you need to think before you put up a thread about something really stupid...
thats like putting a B16 in a ******* 59' pickup and thinking its going to hall ***....
sorry to bust your bubble homie, but really think of what you are saying, it may come to you as soon as the info has time to find your brain.

Given that this is a stupid ******* idea.
Compare that to the motor we all know so well a b16
even the obd1 b16's only put out
170 hp and 110 ft-lbs
you guys are flaming him for the wrong reasons

No, what you're missing is thatb the Busa engine will make those PEAK numbers at well over 10,000rpm.
By the time you actually get to the powerband, the B16A will be long gone.
