Hawaii guys, where you get your engines from?
Ok, time to start seriously shopping for a b18c1, but shipping tends to be a MAJOR pain in the butt when you live in hawaii... Anyone know of any *REPUTABLE* shops in the islands or places on the mainland with low shipping costs?
I'm on Maui, but shipping from Oahu or one of the other islands is still preferable to the mainland.

Any websites for those? I found hypersports, but sonic and endless aren't coming up on google... I'm on Maui so I can't really just drive on over...

The only problem with that most likely you'll get a Waianae style borrowed motor. Also check Eurosports (are they still in business?). Hypersports I remember had a good price, 1999 installed for a B16A back in 97-99 i think.

Looks like it's mainland then... I'm not even gonna get a quote from 1320 performance over here, they told a friend of mine it'd be 5000 installed for an h22 in his accord...
And I don't want to get it from a private party, because I want the assurance of some kind of warranty... Plus, if it turns out that it's all messed up, I'll have a business to threaten with a lawsuit, not just a person.

Re: (1CiViC1)
I got a quote thru e-mail, and the guy said 350, but he wasn't sure, and that I should call up the guys at the shop to find out. Didn't say how long it'd take though...

Wow so much hate for those shops. I wouldnt blame you. I've been ripped off from time to time from shops before when I hadnt but a clue to do swaps and stuffs. Now it's screw all the shops and do it yourself in your garage. I'd be glad to help you on your swap, tech info's and parts needed if only I was there. If you do need parts you have no where esle to turn to but those shops on your island. And I 2nd that quote from "Waachback" word on getting parts and supplies from individual. They do tend to sell it alot cheaper then shops and are cool to deal with. Maybe you should try them out. And if you're scared about warrenties and stuffs. Any high performance shops will not give you a full warranty if you are planning on adding high performance to your engine. If you own'd a shop would you give full warranties on motor's and turbo's? No, cause you'd be losing out on money for your bussiness. Just my thought.
