i would look more into long term .. like how long do u plan on keeping car ... how much do u plan on moding in the future ... i would go buy a k24 bottom end and k20 top end ... and kill a h2b setup .. but for a price ... if u dont plan on keepin the car for awhile do h2b ... the k series era just started there is gonna be alot more mods for the k and it is alot more responsive to the mods ... i guess it realy depends on how deep ur pockets are and how long ur gonna keep your car to decide if u wanna k it or not

I would never leave an H for the k20. Especially if you already have the h22. I would however leave the h22 in a heartbeat for a k24/k20 hybrid, but that's another story

anyone see the write up in the latest import tuner about the honda g23 vtec engine. its a f23 block with a h22a head with k20 pistons. put out 250hp n/a with all stock engine parts. i think id go that way since you already have the h22a pretty sure he tuned it on a chipped p28 which you already have also

Go K dude... I have a few friends with K swaps and another friend with an H2B with b16 Trans (gutted)... Each K car (all full weight) had I/H/E and KPro but all the K's were on a base map... The K Cars pulled about the same distance on the H2B.... About 3 Cars.... The K Swap Requires Less distortion of the engine bay as well... You have to beat the hell out of the Driver Side strut tower for the H2b and a K looks better and is more reliable...
Good Luck with what ever you decide to do...

i have an h2b in a db8, and i didnt have to bang one single thing (QSD kit) and im using stock mounts dc/db (no adapter mounts like the k series) so the engine bay is exactly how it comes with the factory. the engine, axles, etc are all sitting in the factory positions. no custom axles either. as for being reliable...this thing fits, runs, and drives, like it rolled off the show room floor with it...doesnt get anymore reliable than that.

I love K's.
had a k20, now have a k24.
that being said, with already having the H.
just go H2B and save the money.
you could always just boost the H.
youd be faster than an H2B setup or k series.
for the same money. who knows what you like though?

i have a k, but for the money its not wroth it. its way too hard to sell. but the motor is a beast. i beat 400whp supra all day, b20 turbos all day, and fully built bseries all day. i bet a h2b tuned should do that same. or go with a 100 shot and run high 11s

Re: H2B vs. K20 Swap
not that unbelievable.....I put out 215 with a Short ram/header/exhaust. I sure I would've gotten close to another 5hp with a CAI which woulda been close to the unbelievable 220 mark
Yes I have dyno charts and 110mph trap Slips to back it
Regardless Kill this worthless thread
