H2B +NO BS + KS manual tensioner + S2000 crank pulley (issues)
As stated the set up is H22a with deleted BS, KS manual tensioner , and using a S2000 crank pulley. I am having belt walking issues. I am in the stages of getting everything all buttoned up so the car has only been run at idle to get things like coolant bleed and misc stuff fixed, maybe rev'd up a few times to keep it idling a few times.
So I noticed here the other day that when it was idling there was rubbing from the timing belt on the lower cover meaning the belt on the back side of the motor is starting to walk out and rub the plastic cover on the side of the motor. It definitely did not do it originally. My question is with all the components listed above do I need some sort of "guide" between the timing belt cog and the crank pulley due to the smaller diameter of the S2000 crank pulley neck? I have the timing belt "finger tight" as best I can per KS's video.
comment s welcome
thanks

Yes, you need a thin OEM factory washer to keep the belt from walking. They are a few dollars from the dealer. #12 on the picture.

Yep, rock that #12 piece (in the pic above) inside and outside the timing belt gear and that should do ya good.
I've also read about the KS manual tensioner being set too tight will make it do this. Always good to double check your within spec I suppose.

To use the belt guide (#12) you will need to do one of two things:
A. cut the woodruff key or use two short keys.
B. cut/file a notch into the belt guide so that it will slip over the key.
I went with option B so I wouldn't have to keep track of two keys. I just marked the width of the key onto the belt guide and with a narrow file removed material incrementally until the guide would fit onto the crank with the key in place. the material is very soft and clamped in a vice only took a few minutes.

^ exactly what I did.
KS also sells this piece u press on the tensioner pulley to keep it from walking
It's called the walk blocker.
