this is the only thing thats left so al have no engine management lights on my h2b swap

im using the h22a7 accord type r engine (2001) on my 96spec integra type r
and im using a obd1 ecu

now the h22a7 inlet manifold has a 3 wire idle control valve ( IACV )
and the wiring loom for the engine only has 2 wires.

now ive tried all the different combanations of wiring i it in, but the engine light is still on, one method worked and the idle stayed lower but it didnt seem right and then later the engine light came back on again.

what am i doing wrong, have i missed something or do i have to use a obd1 2 wire idle control valve from an older h22 engine??

get a 2 wire IACV and hit up Rosko Racing for an adapter plate for your euro-r manifold

I do not believe the 3 wire IACV can be controlled by an OBD1 ecu. Also the EK civic 3 wire IACV might bolt up but i am not sure.

So using and OBD1 ecu, yes that is the only way.

check out the hybrid section. They have a section about putting an obd2 engine in an obd1 vehicle and vice versa.
