hey guys.....been in the game for only a lil while just startig to read these H2B threads and see more potential with H2B or F2B than buildig my b-series...i currently have a b16b full swap but thinking on going with th F or H...... I can buy a F20B 200hp 8k rpm redline motor for around 1000.00 or H22A jdm 220hp 7400 rpm redline for like 3k or so....what im askin with type r tranny and shorter gears is it worth having the 8k redline for less money then put the xtra 1500 or 2000 into f20b to try to get it up to or better than the h22a's 220 hp. my goal is mid-high 12 second car...going into a ek coupe. im thinking i need about 225 to wheels....if any info i posted is wrong please correct me im semi-new to h2b and f2b just really trying to do research before i make my move....HELP....and THANKS!

unless you want to buy a full f20b swap with the lsd trans id go with the h22. Almost every f20b long block youll buy is a auto which is only rated at 180hp. TB and cams are different. But if your going to replace those, id just get a longblock. I love my f20b, I compare it to a 85mm GSR

notice how its the only motor on that site that says approximately before the HP rating, yeah thats thanks to me lol
