stay on the freeway with the windows down!
yes it is possible if you can find everything in working order and have the time and bills to install it, but it might just be less costly and time consuming to just buy a car with a/c
compressor,
condensor,
evaporator,
reciever dryer,
hoses from a civic w airconditioning
and the core unit for under the dash(may need to change vent tubes two, and maybe dash.)
or you could go to home depot buy a mini a/c and stick it in the passager window
if you are devoted to the Idea good luck! but imho not even worth it if I was driving through the sahara.

The answer is YES!! All you do is use your stock civic ac system and compressor and use the hcp ac bracket which allows you to bolt up your civic compressor to h22 i have it done on my h2b ek !

the bracket will be released soon from innovative. I have been working with them for the past couple of month producing the bracket. I currently have the test bracket in my ek with h22 and ac. Everything work and blow super cold! I love my car.

Re: H2B EK Hatch...possible a/c?
I took a look at the h2b swap..(well I looked at mine) to be honest I don't know how people are gonna make ac work with the swap. The compressor could be run at the bottom stock location, but How will the belt be run...? Also how would people fit a condenser AND a fan in there. Looks impossible. I was concerned with the all the AC lines and stuff also. BIG BIG props to someone that could solve this. I certainly couldn't.
Wait one good news is (well not CONFIRMED yet but will confirm when I have a chance this week) a friend of mine said that hose-man could make custom A/c lines. He said they will reuse the aluminum part where you bolt it to the compressor etc and make new hose at your desire length or however you want it. I guess that will give us H2B/er some hope for A/C

Re: H2B EK Hatch...possible a/c?
well i took some mesurments(with my eyes)haha. and it looks like the stock d15 compressor on my car will fit beacause it is much smaller than the h series compressor. and the fan shroud can be cut to desired thickness or just trimmed in spotsit needed to be. o.k. guys well im going to accomplish this feat and i will do a write up with pics on it o.k. i have the parts and the means to get this done and im determined now! 12 sec. a/c equiped h2b here i come!

Re: H2B EK Hatch...possible a/c?
Hopefully not just the eg... but for dc and ek/em1 also. Don't hog all the cool air now. keep us updated. I CAN'T wait til its done. I'm still working on the lines because the lines is a bit short (in my eyes or course). Hopefully h2b with a/c could be done SOON!

Re: H2B EK Hatch...possible a/c?
talked to innovative again and the bracket will be done by wed. so hopfully ill get it some time in feb. o.k. well i have a few issues and i think solutions...i work at a full service japanese car repair shop so im exposed to all kinds of diffent hondas daily. (meaning i can inspect different cars and motors and see what might work with mine) i noticed the a/c/ compessor clutch/pulley on a '04ish civic has a wider pulley size similar to a h series compressor but im wondering if the bolt holes are the same as a 92-00 compressor? if so with a bracket and a newer civic compressor we i could run the proper sized(width) belt and have a/c on an h2b. or i might be able to buy just the pulley from a new civic and use it on an older compressor.....so many ideas i need this bracket for answers! i cannot wait

Re: H2B EK Hatch...possible a/c?
Now is this kit for EK or eg? I have an Em1 so don't know how its gonna work. Also, what else is needed? I mean how bout the lines, what compressor, how is the fan fitment etc. I just want to know before I order it. I'm sure other people are wondering the same thing. thanks

Re: H2B EK Hatch...possible a/c?
o.k. well if your car originaly had a single cam in it this brackit will work with your stock compesser. if your car is an si it will not bot up. but you could still make it work by getting a sohc compresser and lines. i am doing my swap this weekend then as soon as i get the bracket i will hook all the a/c/ up. and for you info. eg and ek sohc compressoers have the same bolt pattern. only b seris is different(with a few exceptions). in other words the a/c systems are very similar between eg&ek. fitments idk about just yet let me get the bracket and get it all put together. i wouldnt be calling for the bracket just yet they only have one made right now and its experimental with h2b. i may have to do some trimming and things of that nature to fan shrouds and lengther a/c/ hoses im not sure like i said i need it in my hands on the car to play with all the parts i have. i will keep you guys posted for sure

Awesome awesome. Thanks. Quick question tho, what chassis do you have and what H2b kit do you have? I have em1 with qsd kit so just comparing and contrasting LOL thanks
