Default H23A Swapped 92 Civic wont start

My sister has a 92 Civic 4 door with a JDM H23A swap. It ran and drove when she traded for the car, but now it will not start. It is getting spark, and fuel is getting to the fuel rail. Im more of a Jeep guy, so I havent messed with Honda motors very much. What all should I check? And how would I go about checking it?

Thank you. If you need anymore info just ask and I will try and help.

I had the same problem a couple of weeks ago, it was the ignition switch for me, I just pulled it out and wired up a push button start using a couple of switches and relays, to test to see if that's the problem, jump 12v to your ignition and accessory wire, turn the key forward and it should crank, can't remember the wire colors off the top of my head, but I'm sure there's a wire diagram on here, if not go to the12volt.com, I know there's one there

It will spin over, it just will not start and run. Is it possible for the ignition to cause that? It seems to me that if the ignition was bad nothing at all would happen. But thanks, I will give it a shot.

Yes, that's exactly what mine was doing, you are putting 12 volts to the starter, but not to the ignition and/or accessory, which is why it will turn over but not stay crunk

Starter black/white
Ignition black/yellow

Well the ignition is fine.

2 problems we noticed. The starter isnt even spinning it fast enough to move the RPM gauge, so its pretty slow.

And it doesnt sound like it has compression, so im thinking it jumped timing.

Bump. Any ideas? We replaced the distributor with the same part # rhats on there and it didnt fix the problem so we returned it and put the original back on.

What is the best way to do that? I know about the marks on the cam gears but it would be nice to have a short little how to guide.

Ive Never messed with Honda DOHCs. Ive rebuilt Chevy V8s and Jeep 4.0s, so i am mechanically inclined, just dont know much about this specific type, so please forgive my ignorance.
