Default H23/F22 no start

OK like title states I have an H23 head on an F22 block and it wont start...

I have good spark and I know I am getting fuel because I pulled the plugs and they are all wet.

My compression is all nearly 120.

Problem areas are I do no have the knock sensor hooked up because there is no port for one on the F22 block and I used the H23 harness. When I advance the distributor all the way then it sounds like it wants to start more and pops here and there. Could the KS be pulling timing enough to not let it run?

The fuel has sat in the tank for over a year. Could it just be bad gas?

The only other thing I can think of is that the timing belt is slightly off. So I might need to recheck that.

Any ideas or knowledge?

So I talked to a guy and he said if my compression is all good than it wouldnt be my timing that is not letting it start. Anyone have any ideas? AT ALL?

Triple check your timing.
CHeck your spark plug wire order.
Also, if you are getting fuel, make sure it isn't wasing down your cylinder walls and filling up your oil pan.
