Default H23 5thGen Civic

i have a 1994 Civic Coupe Si.

i can get a pretty good deal on a h23 motor. so i was wondering how much do i gotta beef up my suspension....and is my cornering gonna totally gonna be the *****.. and can i keep my power steering.

my plan is to swap it in and boost about 8psi.

anyone have any info on this swap please let me know

No, you're handling will not be all screwed.

For best handling, I would get custom spring rates from Ground Control, or get Integra Skunk2 coil overs for the civic, and you'll handle just fine.

and with modification, you may keep power steering. Contact Jeff652 for information on that.

As for 8 psi on H23, that is gonna nice

As for mounting the H23 and such, you will need any other part for mounting H or F series.

As for wiring into your car, only thing you will need to wire up is knock sensor.

pretty easy swap. good luck.

Cool swap I am about to do the same swap with the boost.Yeah, I had to remove my sway bar for the shifter cables.But already have the f22 v-tec,(blown two of them already) going to try the non v-tec h23,
maybe have luck on keeping it together.Good luck on your swap

^^ idk if you've ever done an h-swap, but i dont think i would call it an easy one. not only do you hafta get custom engine mounts, but you'll also haft get custom axles. and depending what mounts you get, you may hafta remove the tranny side mount from the frame rail. you'll hafta change out the civic rod-linkage with the prelude/accord cable linkage. and wiring is quite a bit more than just adding wires for the knock sensor, you hafta extend some wires, change some connectors, add a resistor box etc...
