H22's why are they cheaper than b18c motors
Why are they cheaper than typeR motors? Whats better H22 or R's? Was wondering cause there is a big price difference between the two.

Popularity in swapping them is relatively new.I still have people tell me that they don't fit in a civic

H22 all the way. ITR's are still too expensive. If you're going to make it a road racing car, go with the ITR. If you want a fast drag car, go with the H22.

Type R is a racing motor.
H22 is your regular prelude engine.
Type R motors are on high demand because everyone thinks they are super fast. And they're not. Go with the H22.

Also keep in mind that Prelude motors will not go into 1988-1991 cars without cutting and welding. But the B18C1 and B18C5 are quite simple swaps into these cars. If someone could come up with a kit for H22A swaps into 1988-1991 cars, I would suspect that the cost of an H22A would increase considerably.
