H22A4 into DB7 integra
Hey everyone! Been a little while since I've posted on H-T. Anyways, to make a long story short, used to have a '97 ITR that I had to give up when my daughter was born...since then, I've had an itch to get back into an integra. Just picked up a 1994 LS Sedan and now I'm ready to do a swap for this DD family car. I just picked up a 1998 H22A4 (usdm) complete with motor, tranny and chrome chipped ecu.
Goals:
*swap stock H22A4
*retain a/c & p/s
What do I need to know about achieving these goals? I have searched and found info specific to EG/EK but came up short with DC/DB info. From what I searched, i found that:
-there is a possible bracket for d series a/c compressor, is a EG/DC half radiator and special bracket/d series compressor needed to keep a/c in an integra?
-I am planning on using innovative billet h22a to DC mounts, can p/s be retained? or will custom lines need to be run?
-since I'm obd1, I will need to rewire the harness. Heard of rywire.com and considering buying a harness from them. Anyone have suggestions about the harness?
-What is up with the shifter? Do I have to cut up the floor for this? I'm guessing I can't go back to b-series after this? I live in cali, so a possible swap back to ls may be needed if I ever get pulled over and sent to a ref.
Thank you all for patience and information! I have never touched an H series before (only B and D series) so I'm a little nervous about this but hoping it can be done without too much headache. And for those wondering why I'm going H22A...well, I've already had extensive experience with the B18c5 and wanted to try something new...AND I got the whole swap from a friend for $300, so even though it may cost more, it's still cheaper than buying a B18C. THANKS!

Wiring is easy, You just need to modify the LS harness a little
You have to cut the floor for the shifter. When I took my H22 out I cut the shifter plate out of another car and tacked it in place
You *should* be able to use an EG power steering line but I have not tried it myself
Hasport should be able to help you with the AC compressor mount. Take a look at their website
All this is in the FAQ. Read it and learn

Thanks for the responses guys. I guess I'll have to talk to hasport or figure it out myself. The info in the FAQS section is from around 5 years ago...so I started this thread hoping to find out any new info people have come across since then. Gonna have to spend some time on this one to keep it legit so I can get it Bar'd. Now I gotta decide if I wanna build the motor first or just swap it in and build it later....

i have an h22 (h2b) in my integra sedan and i had to cut off the p/s pulley just to get the motor in...i dont know about doing a straight h22 swap, you might be able to keep the pulley...not sure. your going to have to figure out a way to run a serpentine belt to run both a/c and p/s...there isnt enough room for both pulleys. not sure i am much help to you...but just from looking at my swap i think your going to need a lot of custom parts/mounts/lines to make this all work...good luck!

I think h2b is a little different for clearance, but thanks for chiming in! Nice DB by the way. Did you get new doors or have the molding holes filled?
