Default h22a4 in a EG hatch...injector & fuel pump question

just finishing up a h22a4 swap into a 92 vx...& came up with a question.

should I use an upgraded fuel pump or is the stock civic VX one ok.
i have the big dog walbro but we haven't put it in.
no boost as of now...just bolt on NA mods.

i heard that the h22a has bigger injectors then the h22a4 is this true?..& that the bigger fuel pump was need on a h22 swap but not a h22a4 swap?

i thought the h22a4 used 290cc??

4th gens use 345cc, 5th gens use 290cc. Your stock fuel pump should handle it. I have a walbro 355 in my sol w/4th gen h22 and the pump makes me run rich. If you do the pump, you'll prob want to get an fpr as well.

thanks...thats what i thought

i have a walbro 355 sitting on my shelf but i thought installing it would be overkill.

maybe down the road i'll put it in with a FPR

I think you both mean 255.

I will concur, after I installed my 255 (I have the 345cc injectors) I was running pretty rich, but I also got an FPR. You will pretty much never have a good tune until you run something like uberdata/crome/hondata/neptune. Hate to say it, but the best of your motor lies in tuning.

Good luck.

Yes, I meant 255, I don't proof read my posts . I am running uberdata, but I haven't bought the wideband yet. Running rich sucks, everyone at the track thinks my car is turbo because of all the crap flying out my exhaust .

same here 255...i just had 355 in my head from reading his post

i'm running on the rich side too, but its hard to tell exactly cause i need an exhaust
the only thing on there is a header & a race-resonation, so its loud & puts off mad fumes....once i get a car & muffler it should clear up a decent amount of that.

we'll see after i get the exhaust.

i'm probably gonna run chrome.

i have a 255 in mine, it is a bit over kill for all motor, but im going to be putting a 100 shot on it in about 2 months, so i guess i can suffer until then.

If i was staying all motor, i'd have gotten a 190 walboro
