Default h22a4 in 95 civic eg shifter problems

okay so sometimes when im at a stoplight or getn ready to go and i go to put it in 1st gear...it wont go into first....ill push clutch in and out.....then itll pop right in......and also 5th gear grinds sometimes when i go to put it in 5th......we just put a new tranny in it....are there adjustments and where how do i do them...

make sure the cables arent binding up htere might be an adjustment on there. ill check the repair manual.

okay yeah i htink it has to do with cables or adjustment in the shifter i just dont know where to start or look....

just sounds like normal lude tranny problems. the 5th gear grinding is the notorious 5th gear grind. and the tranny is a piece of poop buy the way. lol. now you know what luders have to put up with.

usually i ihave seen that from teh shift cables not being able to move freely.

I never had shifter problems in my 3 years with this engine/tranny combo..

Check your fluid level..

First thing I would check is it sounds like you have a hydro problem for example, your clutch master cylinder or slave cylinder could be faulty and leaking and not holding enough pressure, for example by you saying you have to pump up the clutch to get it into gear is a hydro problem, or a leaking clutch flex line. Thats what I would check first.
