h22a1 swapped for jdmh22a4?
Have a 92 lude and swaping the h22a1 out of it and putting in a jdmh22a4. I feel this is a direct pull and drop, everything should match up nicely. But concerned on the OBD1 to OBD2 change. Any writeups, or suggestions on the actual swap, what to watch out for, change out, etc? I saw the ultimate h22 swap guide and didn;t know if it discussed this sort of swap? it mentions the year car but as a non-vtech...

Since your car is already vtec it really doesn't matter that the motor is obd 2. Just use your exisiting intake manifold, header, dizzy and your good to go. ( just swap the longblock)

There is no such thing as a jdm h22a4 that is just the opened decked and newer american h22. All japanese engines are h22a. Not worth the time unless your engine is heading south or is already there.
