H22a swap questions
I am considering buying a motor for my 91 civic hatchback instead of turbocharging my d16y8 that was swapped into it. I read about b16a and it seems like a relatively easy rout but had hoped for a little more hp. I like the idea of an H22a but was wondering if I can keep my L3 transmission and cable clutch system? Also wondering how much of a b@&#$ that particular swap would be. Any personal knowledge and suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Re: H22a swap questions
When you say L3 are you referring to the D-series transmission?
GSR swap should be something you look at if worried about the power a B16a produces compared to H22.

Yes. The tranny. There are apparently L4 also but mine is an L3. It's an si chassis. Originally d16a6 I believe. I'm beginning to wonder if a swap isn't going to be around the same price as a turbocharger or at least a good turbo charge kit. But I just don't know which motor is going to be the right combination of ease of installation and horsepower. I saw that the b16a pretty much come stock with 160 horsepower. I was hoping for a little more than that.
