H22a swap idles at 2000rpms. Please help.
Car is 94 Civic with JDM H22a. FITV has been blocked off for a long time. Was running great the last two weeks, all the sudden is idling at 2000rpms. No CEL, I've replaced the TPS, cleaned the throttle body and IACV with carb cleaner, checked throttle cable tension/position and checked for vacuum leaks. Still is idling at 2000rpms. Bleeding the coolant is my next step, but damn... I don't know what else it could be, kinda stumped, could really use some help or suggestions from here. No idle bounce, car seems to run fine, idle is just stuck at between 2000rpms.

what ECU are you using? Any CELs??

Recheck the throttle body gasket for any cracks or broken pieces. Double check all vacuum lines and block off anything not being used with a cap.

Sounds like a possible vacuum leak. Spray starting fluid around intake mani and tb while runing. If revs change there is a vacuum leak somewere.

I believe the ECU is a chipped p28. No check engine light illuminates but when I jump the plug to get a code, it gives me 14 and 7. But nothing when I don't jump the plug. Car seems to drive fine, just idles at 2000rpm.
I did spray carb cleaner all around the throttle body and IACV. When I spray the carb cleaner around those two areas the idle does drop down from 2000 for a few seconds then jumps right back up. |

Code 14 --- IAC Valve (Idle Air Control) defective circuit or unplugged / defective sensor
Code 7 --- TPS (Throttle Position Sensor) defective circuit or unplugged / defective sensor I'm betting you got these two swapped around. |

Well out of nowhere, now it's running terrible. The idle has dropped back down to around normal but now it fluctuates up and down and more or less feels/sounds like it's running on 3 cylinders. It seems like it's running real rich too. I'm about at a end with this car.
