Default H22a or H22a "Type-S"???

i've still been doing research on what i'm exactly going to do as for dropping a "JDM "H" series motor in my civic sedan..... but can't decide which is better stock for stock? dollar for dollar?

is it worth the money for a H22a Type S?
from what i see is that its only got a couple pounds of torque more than the standard H22a, yet the horse power is 30 more?, and people say the older 4th gen is better due to the stronger block (closed deck) and also cuz its obd1,... but then the pluses that the Type S has is the increased numbers in tq/hp, the fact that its newer, but its obiously more money.....

i don't know much about the "H" series motors so,... any one how can gimmie some great info or links to knowledgeable sites that would be much appreciated....

JB

Default Re: H22a or H22a "Type-S"??? (Snatchback)

I've been told comparing an h22a to an S is like comparing a b18c1 to a b18c5.

If you have the money, go for it. If you don't, a 'reg' h22a will still pack a mighty punch.

Bang for the buck, I'd say h22a.
