Default H22a Del Sol won't turn over.

Swapped in a H22a in a Del Sol and tried to start it, big flash from starter, won't do anything now. I checked the fuses under the hood, when I try to start I can hear the relay in the front clicking but obviously not doing anything from there. I guess the next thing would be to check and see where power is going and track it from there and check the under dash fuses. Everything else is getting power though. If anyone else has had this problem and has a quick solution please respond, thanks.

so you got a big flash from the starter area when you tried to start the car? that would probably mean you have a dead short in your wiring. look at the wiring circuit for the starter and make sure every thing is right.

I would suggest next time you remove the power cables from the starter and just check for voltage with a multimeter just incase this happens again.

btw i would think the fuses for the starter sence its high ampage would be located under the hood

Make sure you have the ground going from the chassis to the transmission.

Check the battery too.
