Default H22a civic overheating issues! I NEED HELP PLEASE!

I changed the thermastat and the fan switch! The fan won't turn on and the car's temp gauge sits at about 3/5, and gets there in about 10 minutes. It would'nt go above that till I drove it for about an hour. As soon as the temp gauge starting going up higher I pulled over and popped the hood. The water was barely at a boil. I had the same exact motor in my other civic hatch before (which got t-boned) and it never went over 2/5 on th gauge, and I never heard the fan turn on in that car either. Now that it's in the new hatch it keeps overheating. My question is how do I make a fan switch for my hatch? What other option do I have before I resort to a fan switch? That is the only thing I can think of doing at this point!

Any help would be apreciated!

Thnaks,
Rob

did you get all the air out of the hoses? that might do the trick!!
jack the car up in the front
take the radiator cap off
start the car and add water/anti freeze as needed

Yes I did that too, and all the hoses are hot. There is water running through the hoses, I know that for sure. I checked to see if there was any air bubbles using the bleeder bolt. water was flowing out of it smoothy. What else could it be?

Word. Or the fan relay went out.

When I first did my H22 swap my fan didn't work, so I wired it up to a switch. About 6 months later I plugged in the stock harness and fan relay started working again? weird, eh?

For some reason the bottom hose isn't getting hot anymore? that is very strange? So I took out the thermostat and put on the stove in a pot of water. Then I used my bros sunpro thermostat gauge and stuck it in there too. It opened up at about 175 degrees! So I reinstalled and the hose is still cold and the car is overheating again. don't think its the water pump because the car gets to around 3/5 and won't get hotter than that until I run it for a long time. Is it necessaty to put it on jacks to get out the air bubbles?

BTW, thanks for the help everyone

try connecting the fan directly to the battery to see if it's working. if it isn't you need a new relay.

I'll try that, but the bottom of the radiator is still cold? the hose running to the bottom of the radiator is pretty cool too? the thermostat housing gets hot too. I know the water pump works too, because when I open the bleeder bolt the water comes out of the radiator top.

no the car doesn't smoke at all! The fan works too! But the temp gauge isn't goin down much, because the water still isn't flowing! I ran the car for a long time with the cap off and I barely had to add water?
